NDDB, NABARD join Workshop on Grain Storage, Co-op Expansion

A regional workshop under the ‘Sahkar se Samriddhi’ initiative focusing on the World’s Largest Grain Storage Plan in the Cooperative Sector and the formation and strengthening of two lakh new Multipurpose PACS, dairy and fisheries cooperative societies was organised in Hyderabad for Southern States, Maharashtra and Goa.

The workshop was organised by the Ministry of Cooperation and the National Fisheries Development Board, bringing together representatives from cooperative institutions and State governments across the region.

Ashish Kumar Bhutani and Siddharth Jain attended the programme along with officials from NDDB, NABARD, NFDB and various state cooperative bodies.

During the workshop, Thungayya Saliyan delivered a presentation on expanding and strengthening the cooperative dairy network in the region under White Revolution 2.0. He highlighted the achievements of the White Revolution across southern and western states and outlined the action plan aimed at achieving inclusive growth and meeting future cooperative dairy targets.

The workshop also focused on enhancing rural storage infrastructure, strengthening grassroots cooperatives and accelerating cooperative-led development in the dairy and fisheries sectors.
