The National Co-operative Exports Limited (NCEL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the West Bengal State Co-operative Marketing Federation Ltd. (BENFED) to promote exports from the cooperative sector and strengthen the export capabilities of cooperatives in West Bengal.

The MoU was signed in New Delhi on Tuesday, by NCEL Managing Director Unupom Kausik and BENFED Managing Director Rajesh Pandey, IAS.

The partnership aims to enhance market access for cooperative products, build export-oriented capacities, and support value chain development across the state. It will also focus on equipping cooperative societies with the knowledge and resources needed to participate in domestic and international markets.

NCEL said the collaboration is expected to strengthen India’s cooperative export ecosystem while creating new opportunities for farmer-owned cooperatives in West Bengal.
