Vasai Vikas Sahakari Bank Ltd., a Scheduled Cooperative Bank, organised a mandatory Cyber Security Awareness Training Programme at Devtalav Society Mall, Vasai West, to strengthen digital banking security and cyber resilience.
Held under the theme “You Are the First Human Firewall of VVSB Bank,” the programme highlighted the role of employees in protecting the Bank, customers, sensitive data and the digital banking ecosystem from emerging cyber threats.
The training was attended by Directors, senior management, branch managers, officers, employees, IT and Information Security teams, newly joined staff and representatives of the Bank’s CBS and digital switch vendors.
Sessions covered cyber security governance, data governance, phishing, social engineering, ransomware, cyber fraud prevention, incident management, risk and compliance, the DPDP Act, RBI guidelines, cyber hygiene and customer data protection. A live cyber-attack demonstration and practical mitigation techniques were also presented.
A cyber security quiz was conducted, with the top three winners felicitated by Chairman Ashay Raut, IT Strategy Committee Chairman Abhay Chaudhari and CEO Dilip V. Thakur.
The Bank announced that mandatory cyber security training will be held every six months, while specialised sessions for IT and Information Security teams will be conducted quarterly.
