Uttar Pradesh Cooperation Minister J.P.S. Rathore has indicated that the state will soon establish a Cooperative College, aimed at strengthening education and capacity-building in the cooperative sector.
Rathore shared the development on X after meeting Prof. S.P. Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan Sahkari University, at his official residence in Lucknow. The two discussed various issues related to the cooperative sector.
Rathore said the proposed cooperative college reflects the broader vision of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah for the development of the cooperative movement and the establishment of a dedicated cooperative university.
He also expressed gratitude to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, saying that, with the Chief Minister’s support, a cooperative college would soon be established in the state.
The proposed institution is expected to contribute to cooperative education, training and human-resource development, creating greater awareness and skills among students and those working in the cooperative sector.
