The Uttarakhand Cooperative Summit 2026, organised by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) in Dehradun, brought the state’s cooperative development agenda into focus, with Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Ganesh Joshi participating in the programme.
Addressing the summit, Joshi highlighted the state government’s approval of the Uttarakhand State Cooperative Policy-2026, aimed at strengthening cooperative institutions and expanding their role in rural economic development.
Joshi said cooperatives are emerging as an important means of empowering farmers, women and rural communities under the broader vision of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi.”
The summit provided a platform for discussions on Uttarakhand’s cooperative sector, rural enterprise and future development priorities. The new policy is expected to provide a structured roadmap for strengthening cooperative institutions and expanding their contribution to the state’s rural economy.
