The National Dairy Development Board conducted a specialised Dairy Cooperative Management Programme for professionals from Mysuru Milk Union, Karnataka, aimed at strengthening managerial and operational capabilities in the dairy sector.
The programme offered participants a comprehensive, end-to-end understanding of how dairy cooperatives function and evolve, combining classroom learning with extensive field exposure. Participants visited key institutions including Indian Dairy Machinery Company Limited, Tribhuvan Sahkari University, and Institute of Rural Management Anand, along with leading dairy facilities such as Amul plants and cooperative societies in Anand and Gandhinagar.
These visits provided insights into milk procurement, processing, quality testing, and value-added product manufacturing, while interactive sessions with industry experts enriched practical learning.
The programme also included sessions on motivation, achievement, and workplace wellness, ensuring a holistic development approach.
By blending field immersion with structured training, the initiative helped participants gain a deeper understanding of modern dairy cooperative management and best practices, reinforcing the strength of India’s cooperative dairy ecosystem.
