The National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd. (NAFED) accorded a warm welcome to the Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoAFW), Dr. Devesh Chaturvedi, IAS, during his visit to the NAFED Headquarters.

He was warmly welcomed by NAFED Managing Director Deepak Agarwal.

During the visit, Dr. Chaturvedi interacted with senior officials and reviewed NAFED’s key activities, with a focus on its role in agricultural marketing, procurement, and farmer-centric initiatives.

He was briefed on NAFED’s ongoing programmes aimed at strengthening cooperative marketing systems and enhancing farmers’ access to fair and remunerative markets.

The Secretary also visited the NAFED Bazaar, where he interacted with staff and gained first-hand insight into NAFED’s retail operations and consumer outreach initiatives. The visit provided an opportunity to showcase NAFED’s efforts in promoting quality agri-produce, value-added products, and cooperative branding.
