The Gujarat State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank Ltd. (Kheti Bank) planted 70 trees to promote sustainability and reaffirm its commitment to the cooperative movement and rural development.
As part of Cooperative Week, the bank also launched a statewide social media awareness campaign to educate farmers about its welfare schemes, crop insurance, agricultural term loans, savings products and other farmer-centric initiatives, aiming to expand its outreach across rural Gujarat.
Bank employees also took the Sahkar Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to the principles of cooperation, environmental conservation, cleanliness, the use of Made-in-India products and a tobacco-free lifestyle. The pledge underscored the bank’s focus on social responsibility and strengthening the cooperative movement.
Kheti Bank said the initiatives reflect its continued commitment to empowering farmers and promoting sustainable rural development, in line with the vision of “Sahkar Se Samruddhi” and the goal of building a stronger and more self-reliant cooperative sector.
