IFFCO Managing Director K J Patel has praised the continued efforts of the Senior Citizens Welfare Association towards building a caring, connected and inclusive community for the elderly. In a message, Patel congratulated the office-bearers, members and volunteers of the association for their sustained work and expressed appreciation for the enthusiasm and active participation of senior citizens.
Patel said their engagement in social and community life was a source of inspiration and highlighted the important role played by elders in strengthening society. He wished all those associated with the association success in its continued journey and expressed hope that it would create more opportunities for fellowship, wellbeing and meaningful engagement among senior citizens.
Emphasising the broader social value of active ageing, Patel said a stronger society is one that values, respects and learns from its elders. He described the theme of “Active Seniors, Stronger Society” as reflecting the importance of recognising the contribution of senior citizens to community life.
