Former IFFCO Managing Director Dr U.S. Awasthi has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Ministry of Cooperation on the completion of five years since its establishment.
In a message shared on social media, Awasthi said the Ministry has ushered in a new era of cooperation in the country through the vision of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi” (Prosperity through Cooperation).
He credited Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah’s visionary leadership with giving the cooperative movement renewed energy, direction and a distinct identity. According to him, cooperatives are today emerging as a powerful instrument of economic empowerment for farmers, rural communities, women and small entrepreneurs.
Awasthi urged all stakeholders to further strengthen the cooperative movement and contribute towards building a developed India through the spirit of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi.”
