On the occasion of International Cooperative Day, IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani said the cooperative movement has emerged as a powerful force for farmers’ welfare, rural development and nation-building, while highlighting the transformative reforms introduced by the Ministry of Cooperation over the past five years.
In a message shared on the occasion, Sanghani said that after 75 years of Independence, the establishment of the Ministry of Cooperation under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked a historic milestone for the cooperative sector.
He noted that Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah has spearheaded several initiatives to strengthen Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), including the introduction of new Model Bye-laws that are helping realise the vision of “Sahakar Se Samriddhi” (Prosperity through Cooperation).
Describing cooperation as a powerful medium of trust, participation and collective prosperity, Sanghani said the movement has brought positive changes to the lives of millions of farmers across the country.
He added that IFFCO has consistently upheld cooperative values and made significant contributions to agricultural growth, rural development, food security and the vision of an Aatmanirbhar Bharat. Every initiative of the cooperative, he said, remains dedicated to farmers’ welfare and national progress.
Sanghani asserted that “Prosperity through Cooperation” is not merely a slogan but a roadmap towards building a developed India.
