Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited the NAFED stall during the Zonal Agriculture Conference 2026 for the Eastern Zone in Bhuvneshwar, highlighting the role of cooperatives and digital platforms in strengthening agricultural marketing and farmer support systems.
During the event, Deepak Agarwal, Managing Director of National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED), addressed participants and shared insights on the PM-AASHA guidelines and the importance of the e-Samridhi portal in improving procurement and farmer outreach.
The conference brought together officials, policymakers and stakeholders from the agriculture sector to discuss strategies for boosting agricultural development and enhancing support mechanisms for farmers across the eastern region.
