The Andhra Pradesh Government has extended the tenure of the existing Non-Official Person-In-Charge Committee of the Andhra Pradesh State Cooperative Marketing Federation Ltd. (A.P. MARKFED), Vijayawada, for another six months.

According to an order, issued by the Agriculture & Cooperation Department on October 7, 2026, the extension is effective from October 5, 2026 to April 4, 2027.

The Government clarified that the committee will continue until the elections are conducted and the elected Managing Committee assumes charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The extension has been granted by exempting the committee from the provisions of Section 32(7)(a) of the A.P. Cooperative Societies Act, 1964, by invoking the powers vested with the Government under Section 123 of the Act.

The decision follows a report submitted by the Commissioner for Cooperation and Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Andhra Pradesh, Guntur. The concerned authorities have been directed to take necessary action to ensure the continued functioning of A.P. MARKFED.
