Amul has announced an increase in milk procurement prices, providing major relief to lakhs of dairy farmers across Gujarat. The revised rates will come into effect from June 1, 2026.
Under the new pricing structure, buffalo milk procurement has been raised from Rs 865 to Rs 875 per kg fat. Cow milk procurement rates have also been increased from Rs 384.10 to Rs 388.65 per kg fat, translating to an increase of around Rs 4.55 per litre.
Buffalo milk with 6 percent fat will now fetch Rs 54.05 per litre, while cow milk with 3.5 percent fat will be procured at Rs 36.68 per litre, benefiting farmers facing rising fodder and livestock maintenance costs.
