Sanghani will usher in Gujarat model at national level: Chandra Pal

Thursday was the first day for the newly elected NCUI President Dileep Sanghani at his office located in posh South Delhi’s Asiad Village. It was also the day when Sanghani tried to know the employees of NCUI individually and know their issues. Senior as well as junior staff could be seen donning their best attire to welcome their new boss.

The staff-members led by its Chief Executive N Satyanarayan felicitated the new President in the Boardroom. They introduced themselves one by one as a curious President heard them with rapt attention.

Later talking to Indian Cooperative Sanghani said it was a day dedicated to meeting people and knowing the place. He took tours of the campus and saw everything from conference halls to auditorium.

Dr Chandra Pal Singh, the former President also dropped in to help Sanghani adjust to the new place. “I remember the good work of Shri Sanghani as a Cooperative Minister when Shri Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, due to which the cooperative movement of Gujarat made rapid progress, said Chandra Pal.

Chandra Pal further said that under the leadership of Shri Sanghani, just like Gujarat’s model of cooperatives, NCUI’s model of cooperative growth would get world-wide recognition.

In his speech Sanghani said that taking support from all, he would work for finding solutions to the problems of the cooperative movement in India. He also assured that through the work of NCUI, peoples’ faith in cooperatives would be enhanced.

Lauding the contributions of Chandra Pal, Sanghani said despite adverse circumstances Yadav led to an overall growth of the apex body and he looks forward to his guidance and support in future too.

Delhi Sahakar Bharati also used the occasion to felicitate Sanghani on Thursday at the NCUI headquarters. Several of its officers connected to credit co-ops and other co-op organizations thronged the place to have a glimpse of the leader. They garlanded him calling him one among them.

It was also the day when ICA AP’s Regional Director Balu Iyer came to meet Sanghani at the NCUI headquarters. Iyer congratulated him on his elevation and thanked NCUI through him for undiluted support for the last 60 years to ICA AP.

Sanghani also tried to understand the working of NCUI, its budget, its source of income and its expenditure. Talking to Indian Cooperative Sanghani admitted that he would need to spare time and attention for the NCUI. But it would not be a problem as I do come at regular intervals to Delhi for meetings at Nafed, IPL and IFFCO, Sanghani said.
