After winding up his whirlwind trip of Gujarat that covered the cities of Kalol, Mehsana and Vadora IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi is fired up again this week and has begun touring the tribal state of Chhattisgarh.
When he reached Raipur thousands of farmers turned out to meet him. Upbeat about his journey ,MD tweeted “#IFFCO Golden Jubilee # reached Raipur Chhattisgarh in the cooperative janyatra and meeting farmers and cooperative brethren.”
A cooperative exhibition was also organized on this occasion in which cooperative bodies doing business with IFFCO participated. Awasthi inaugurated the exhibition and tweeted posting photographs of the event.
Several important cooperators of the state including State Cooperative Union Chairman Lakhan Lal Sahu and Chairman of State Co-op Bank Ashok Bajaj also joined his meeting. They greeted MD on this unique Farmers’ Connect campaign.
Dr. Awasthi talked about the importance of soil health by drawing farmers’ attention to the Golden Jubilee slogan
Wednesday morning when this reporter sought his reaction on demonitiazion of currencies Awasthi said” Please see my tweet you will get your news if not satisfied then please call I am on Sahakarita Kisan Yatra”.
He plans to undertake 110 such meetings for the entire year celebrating the Golden Jubilee of IFFCO and reaching out to the ordinary members with the message “you own IFFCO”.
