Dr. U S Awasthi, the Managing Director of largest cooperative organization IFFCO has welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Friday address on sustainable development at the UN General Assembly.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had in his speech called for a world without poverty. The Prime Minister said that the need was to fight the menace of poverty globally.
The Prime Minister began his address with a reference to Mahatma Gandhi, saying, “Mahatma Gandhi had spoken about working for a future that we cannot see.”
Awasthi’s followers on social media also turned enthusiastic with his tweet and one of them replied” To achieve this aim all out support2#farmers will b required from all stake holders”.
Another of his follower saw in it a golden chance to claim for permanent seat in UNO. He tweeted “It was great speech and PM has put all the concerns in right tone & right pitch for permanent seat in UNO.”
