Awasthi moves in Modi’s foot-steps; seeks new ideas

If ideas could be churned out on social media- this is being experimented simultaneously by Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi. IFFCO is the leading cooperative of the country having a membership of more than 40 thousand cooperative societies.

In his latest tweet Dr Awasthi has asked for ideas capable of changing lives- from IFFCO’s employees and their families. He has promised that IFFCO would support viable ideas as investor.

Dr. U S Awasthi tweet reads “I invite #IFFCO #employees #cooperatives & there families 2share an #idea on new #business. We can also support viable #project as #investor.”

At the other end of the spectrum, Narendra Modi- who sets great store by new ideas has sought them from the youth and has got set up a specialized App for it. Modi says “Young friends have enriched the forum with fantastic ideas on youth-led development, skill development, education, innovation & other topics.”

In next tweet Modi says ” Keep the ideas coming. Share them on the Mobile App. https://t.co/TYuxNNJfIf.

Like Modi , Awasthi is also receiving lots of new ideas. IFFCO PR Head Harshendra Verdhan replied” @drusawasthi fantastic approach sir. Low cost Farm Tools, Machinery, Social Media Marketing Education in small towns, News Portal.”

Several others suggested that IFFCO may enter in establishing new cold storage warehouse chain across Delhi -Mumbai & Delhi- Kolkatta railway line/corridor. A third said “2 lakh crore MOU AP Govt initiated with companies, lot of scope is there for EPC projects, Nellore is also advantage for IFFCO.

Despite being a busy man Narendra Modi has responded to ideas given in response to his tweet such as he tweeted “Most of us can relate to Vaibhav’s desire to see a #DrugFreeIndia. A healthy spirit of sportsmanship will always be beneficial in this.” In another tweet he admires ideas shared by one Manish Joshi and in third he lauds Manju.

It is a whole new world where both the play and the players have changed. Only those who are ready to generate new ideas and have the guts to adopt them will survive. It is Darwinism “survival of the fittest”, commented a scholar.
