As India celebrates I Day, Co-ops drape themselves in tricolour

Reports of the country’s cooperative world celebrating the 75th Independence Day are pouring in on the desk of Indian Cooperative from several parts of the country. From small to big—all co-operatives have participated in the great national festival on Sunday.

The apex body of Cooperatives National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI) President Dileepbhai Sanghani said “Salute to the Nation and best wishes to all my fellow co-operators on the joyous occasion of 74th Independence Day”

IFFCO Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi shared the photographs related to the celebrations of the Independence Day by IFFCO’s several units located in different parts of the country. “At #IFFCO, we celebrate #IndependenceDay with all our employees & stakeholders across all manufacturing plants & marketing offices. The flag hoisting & celebrations of Independence Day at IFFCO #Paradeep plant where plant head Sh. @kjpatelparadeep hoisted the national flag.”, he tweeted with photographs.

Kribhco Chairman Chandra Pal Singh Yadav celebrated the day with school students and also distributed school bags among them to mark the celebrations.

To mark the occasion, Amul has released a video celebrating its achievement of empowering 36 lakh women dairy farmers in the course of these 75 years. ” Founded in 1946, Amul celebrates 75 years of milk and progress by enriching the lives of 36 lac women farmers and providing taste, health and nutrition to 135 crore Indians every day #75YearsofAmul”, the official twitter handle of Amul tweeted.

On the occasion, the cooperative lender NCDC organized a function at its headquarters at Delhi and its Managing Director Sundeep Nayak hoisted a flag in the presence of its employees and others.

Nafcub President Jyotindra Mehta wrote on his Facebook wall, “Independence Day Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav”.

The milk union associated with the GCMMF including Sumul and Dudhsagar Dairy also organized a function. Sumul celebrated the day with children at its headquarters, the grand celebrations of the 75th Independence Day were held in the premises of Dudhsagar Dairy

Besides, national cooperative bodies, scores of state co-ops located in different states have celebrated the day with great enthusiasm.

In Uttarakhand, Haridwar DCCB one of its Directors Susheel Rathi hoisted the National Flag at the Manglaur branch of the bank. Tehri DCCB Subhash Ramola hoisted the flag at the Cooperative Bank branch in Thauldhar block. Udhamsingh Nagar DCCB also organized a flag hoisting ceremony in which its officiating chairman Yogendra Singh Rawat and other officials participated.

In Madhya Pradesh, State Cooperative Commissioner and Registrar of Cooperative Naresh Pal Kumar (IAS) on the occasion of 75th Independence Day Celebrations hoisted the flag at the headquarters of Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Bank and addressed its employees.

In Uttar Pradesh, if a function was organized at the Uttar Pradesh State Construction and Labor Development Cooperative Federation, several DCCBs of the State including Meerut DCCB, Rampur DCCB, Mainpuri DCCB Bareilly DCCB celebrated the day with full gusto and enthusiasm. Several PACCs of the state also joined in the celebrations.

In Bihar in the premises of the state cooperative bank Chairman Ramesh Chandra Chaubey hoisted the national flag. Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Kumar Singh was the chief guest on the occasion.

In Jharkhand State Cooperative Bank, Regional office, Dumka marked the celebrations by hoisting the National flag.
