Relax, Amul declares no price hike this year

A leader’s role is of paramount importance. R S Sodhi, the man behind the famed Amul brand has declared no price hike in the milk prices this year thereby easing tensions among housewives.

GCMMF that controls the Amul brand has decided not to increase milk prices this year, citing surplus supply of milk.

While the company had earlier hiked the milk prices in its Mumbai, Delhi and Gujarat operations, it would not effect any increase in prices this year.

Sources say the abundant availability of milk renders any spike in prices illogical.

Statistics show India is a leading milk producing country in the world. It accounts for a whopping 17 percent of the global milk production.

As per the data made available by the govt, there has of late been a modest  increase in the per capita milk availability in the country.
