Ready to ignite dairy co-op revolution : Bhatol

GCMMF’s important constituent Banaskantha District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union has decided to venture out of the confines of Gujarat. It has opted for Faridabad where it plans to set up a processing unit worth Rs 300 crores, informed Parthi Bhai Bhatol.

Talking to Indian Cooperative Bhatol referred to Vision 2020 which he presented as the Chairman of GCMMF in 2011 and expressed confidence that the dairy cooperative giant would touch the magic figure of Rs 30,000 crore turn over.

The Faridabad plant is slated to produce one million litres by the mid 2015. This is the fourth venture of GCMMF in NCR zone.

Amul which has already got a foot hold in Delhi along with Mother Dairy is expanding to other states also. On the invitation of Akhilesh govt in Uttar Pradesh Bhatol also plans to set up units in Kanpur and Lucknow.

It is our policy to help out states requesting to ignite dairy cooperative revolution, said Bhatol to Indian Cooperative. Amul model is also proving handy for the BJP Prime Minsterial candidate Narendra Modi who never miss a chance to tom tome its success as a proof of good governance.

Breaking free of the internecine battle with Vipul Chaudhary of Mehsana Dairy and who till recently was the Chairman of GCMMF ( Board resolution and subsequent court orders forced him to vacate) Amul has begun to look forward.

Though the cooperative giant has no Chairman, the Managing Director R S Sodhi is acting at the instance of the Board.
