The Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management (VAMNICOM), Pune, concluded its Hindi Fortnight with a closing and prize distribution ceremony on September 30, following celebrations held from September 14 to 28, 2026.
Dr. Santosh Tanaji Dhotre, Head of the Department of Hindi, Fergusson College, Pune, attended the programme as Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker, while VAMNICOM Director Dr. Suva Kanta Mohanty presided over the ceremony.
Dr. Dhotre highlighted the growing importance and wider use of Hindi, while Dr. Mohanty urged faculty and staff to undertake official work in Hindi as much as possible, using simple and easily understandable language.
Dr. Sudam Adlinge, Registrar and Chairman of the Hindi Fortnight Organising Committee, briefed the gathering on the competitions and announced the results. The Chief Guest and Director distributed prizes and certificates to winners, while participation certificates were presented to other participants.
Eight competitions, including Hindi reading, dictation, note-writing, typing, essay writing, debate and poetry recitation, were organised for employees and students. The programme was compered by Hindi Translator Rajashri Shinde.
