The Ministry of Cooperation has expanded the Executive Council of Tribhuvan Sahkari University by amending its earlier notification.
Issued under the provisions of the Tribhuvan Sahkari University Act, 2025 and the Tribhuvan Sahkari University Statutes, 2025, the notification inserts three new positions into the University’s Executive Council.
As per the amendment, the Director and ex-officio Dean of the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) School has been inducted as an ex-officio member of the Executive Council.
The notification also provides for the inclusion of Deans of designated Schools on a rotational basis for a period of three years as ex-officio members.
In the first phase, Prof. Saswata Narayan Biswas, Dean, School of Co-operative Management, and Prof. Pramod Kumar Singh, Dean, School of Governance, Development and Policy, have been nominated.
The amendment, notified by the Ministry of Cooperation, is aimed at strengthening the University’s academic governance by ensuring greater representation of key academic institutions and schools in its highest executive decision-making body.
