In a significant step towards digital transformation of the cooperative sector, the Union Territory of Ladakh has launched an Integrated Digital Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS) Portal, enabling cooperative societies to access key services online.
Announcing the initiative, Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena said the portal will promote transparent, accountable and technology-driven governance by digitising the registration and approval process for cooperative societies.
The new platform allows societies to submit applications online, upload documents digitally, track the status of applications in real time and receive approvals electronically, thereby reducing paperwork and processing time.
The end-to-end digital system is expected to make registration and other cooperative services faster, simpler and more citizen-centric.
