Tripura State Cooperative Bank Ltd. (TSCB) has created history by becoming the first rural cooperative bank in India to be integrated with the GePNIC e-Procurement Portal for issuing Electronic Bank Guarantees (e-BGs) through the National E-Governance Services Ltd. (NeSL).

Following the successful completion of the testing process with NeSL, TSCB has been officially onboarded for issuing e-BGs on GePNIC procurement portals.

The bank has also been included in NeSL’s latest list of integrated banks as on July 27, 2026, alongside leading public and private sector lenders such as Bank of Baroda, State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Canara Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Union Bank of India.

In its communication, NeSL congratulated TSCB for successfully completing the onboarding process and advised the bank to share the e-BG operating procedures with its branches and customers.

The integration will enable TSCB to issue secure, paperless electronic bank guarantees for government tenders through GePNIC portals, helping expand its fee-based business while offering faster and more efficient services to contractors, MSMEs and other bidders.

The milestone also marks a significant step in the bank’s digital transformation and is expected to encourage greater adoption of digital banking solutions across the rural cooperative banking sector.
