The Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED), through its Regional Office in Raipur, has organised the national tribal festival ‘Aadi Bazaar 2026’ to promote indigenous art, traditional crafts and market opportunities for tribal artisans.

Chhattisgarh Agriculture and Tribal Development Minister Ramvichar Netam inaugurated the 10-day festival at Town Hall, Collectorate Complex, Raipur. The exhibition will continue until November 2, 2026. Sanchita Gupta, Managing Director of Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce Cooperative Federation, attended as the Guest of Honour.

Addressing the gathering, Netam highlighted the rich artistic heritage of tribal communities and stressed the need to connect their traditional products with wider markets to ensure better returns for artisans.

He appreciated TRIFED’s efforts in providing a common platform for artisans from different states and suggested setting up a TRIFED stall during Chhattisgarh Rajyotsav. He also proposed regular competitions among registered cooperative societies and artisans associated with TRIFED to encourage innovation, skill development and product quality.

Around 80 tribal artisans are being represented through nearly 30 stalls, showcasing handicrafts, handloom products, traditional jewellery, paintings and organic products.
