In a major push to strengthen India’s tribal handicraft ecosystem, TRIFED has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HCL Foundation to empower tribal artisans and expand their market access across the country.
The collaboration will focus on design development training, market linkage support, and craft authentication and certification for tribal products. The initiative aims to improve the visibility, branding and commercial reach of indigenous crafts while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for artisan communities.
The MoU was signed by Harvinder Singh and Nidhi Pundhir in the presence of Rajamurugan Muthukalathi.
Operating under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, TRIFED continues to play a key role in promoting socio-economic development of tribal communities through marketing and value addition of tribal products.
