Telangana: DCCB staff step up stir over incentive recovery

Employees of District Cooperative Central Banks (DCCBs) in Telangana have intensified their protest against the recovery of incentives, arguing that the move overlooks income tax already paid on these amounts. Staff members say the decision has led to financial pressure and impacted morale.

The agitation, led by the Telangana Cooperative Central Bank Employees Association, has now entered its second phase. Earlier, employees held symbolic protests during lunch hours, wearing badges and raising slogans to voice their concerns.

Union leaders have outlined the next course of action, which includes submitting memorandums to authorities on April 23 and 24, followed by district-level dharnas across various headquarters on April 27.

Representatives from districts, including Medak, noted strong participation in the ongoing protests and indicated that further steps could be taken if the issue remains unresolved, reflecting rising discontent among cooperative bank employees over benefit-related decisions.
