The 14-member board of the newly formed Sardar Patel Cooperative Dairy Federation Limited (SPCDF) has been elected unopposed.
Among those elected are Ashok Chaudhary, Chairman of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation, and Jayen Mehta, Managing Director of GCMMF. Mehta represents GCMMF, while Chaudhary represents Mehsana District Cooperative Milk Producers Union.
Other directors include Sabhesinh Parmar (Kaira), Shamalbhai Patel (Sabarkantha), Sangaram Chaudhary (Banaskantha), Hemant Patel (Surat-Tapi), Jethabhai Ahir (Panchmahal), Rajeshkumar Patel (Valsad), Jivabhai Patel (Bharuch), Shankarsinh Rana (Gandhinagar), Valamjibhai Humbal (Kutch), Khagen Patgiri (Shakti Dugdha Utpadak), Ms Radhikabai Chavhan (Kanubhai Dudh Utpadak), and Vijay Singh (Paramhanspuri Dugdh Utpadak Sahakari Samiti).
Launched by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, SPCDF aims to replicate the success of Amul nationwide. With an initial capital of Rs 200 crore, it seeks to connect over 20 lakh farmers across 20 states, strengthening the vision of “Sahakar se Samriddhi.”
Building on a legacy inspired by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, SPCDF is set to expand cooperative dairy networks beyond Gujarat, ensuring fair pricing, democratic participation, and sustainable growth for millions of farmers across India.
