Setback to AP-Amul MoU; next hearing on June 14

Media reports say the High Court has asked the AP govt not to go ahead with the MoU it had inked with Amul Dairy and not to spend any money on it. The development is seen as a setback to the AP Govt.

While hearing a petition filed by MP K. Raghu Ramakrishna Raju the court gave this ruling. The next hearing on the matter will take place on June 14.

The petitioner had argued ceding AP Dairy Development Cooperative Federation Limited (APDDCF) to the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation was illegal.

It bears recalling that the AP chief minister recently launched Jagananna Palavelluva-AP Amul project in West Godavari district of the state.
