IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani addressed the annual general meeting of a leading cooperative society in Amreli and a cooperative dialogue organised by the Agriculture and Rural Development Council as part of the International Year of Women Farmers 2026.
Sanghani described the joint annual meeting of cooperative societies organised by Team Sahkar as an exemplary initiative that could inspire the cooperative sector across the country. He said such collective efforts would make cooperatives stronger, more inclusive and more people-oriented.
Highlighting the expansion of cooperative banking in the district, Sanghani said the Amreli District Central Cooperative Bank had grown from 22 branches to 71, significantly widening access to banking services for farmers and citizens.
He also said he had made a representation to the government seeking access to education loans, including loans for overseas higher education, as well as various government financial schemes and subsidies through cooperative banks, expressing confidence in a positive response.
Sanghani also informed cooperators about his candidature for the ICA Global Board election in Panama on September 15, 2026.
He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and the establishment of the Ministry of Cooperation, under Union Minister Amit Shah, with giving fresh momentum to India’s cooperative movement and advancing the vision of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi.”
