The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has extended its regulatory directions on two urban cooperative banks, Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd., Dehradun, and The Pusad Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd., Maharashtra, by another three months.
In the case of Urban Co-operative Bank, Dehradun, the extension will remain effective from the close of business on November 10, 2026, until February 10, 2027, subject to review. The RBI had originally issued directions to the bank on February 9, 2026, and subsequently extended them in August.
Similarly, The Pusad Urban Co-operative Bank, located in Pusad, Yavatmal district of Maharashtra, will continue under RBI directions until February 7, 2027. The bank was initially placed under directions on November 6, 2025, with the latest extension taking effect beyond November 7, 2026.
The RBI clarified that these extensions should not be construed as an indication of satisfaction with the financial position of either bank. All other terms and conditions of the existing directions will remain unchanged.
