Maharashtra’s Kolhapur-based Kallappanna Awade Ichalkaranji Janata Sahakari Bank hosted the Reserve Bank of India’s Mission SAKSHAM training programme, bringing together representatives from around 40 Urban Cooperative Banks (UCBs) from the Kolhapur region.
Conducted under the RBI’s guidance, the capacity-building programme focused on strengthening governance, regulatory compliance, risk management and operational efficiency in urban cooperative banks.
The RBI delegation comprised Manish Kumar, Deputy General Manager; Pankaj Bachhav, Assistant General Manager; and Pratik Meshram and Pradeep Ghule, Managers. They interacted with chairpersons, directors, CEOs and senior officials of the participating cooperative banks on key regulatory and supervisory issues.
Welcoming the RBI officials, Swapnil Awade, Chairman of Kallappanna Awade Ichalkaranji Janata Sahakari Bank, said the initiative would significantly enhance the knowledge and professional skills of cooperative bank personnel, enabling them to deliver safer, more efficient and customer-centric banking services.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from chairpersons, directors, CEOs and senior executives of nearly 40 urban cooperative banks.
