The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has extended the regulatory directions imposed on Nasik Jilha Mahila Vikas Sahakari Bank Ltd., Nasik, for another three months, citing the need to continue the restrictions in the public interest.
The directions, issued under Section 35A read with Section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949, were originally imposed on December 8, 2025, for six months up to June 9, 2026. They were subsequently extended until September 9, 2026.
In its latest decision, the RBI has extended the operation of the directions from the close of business on September 9, 2026, to the close of business on December 9, 2026, subject to review.
The central bank clarified that the extension or modification of the directions should not, by itself, be construed as an indication that the RBI is satisfied with the financial position of the bank.
All other terms and conditions of the existing directions will remain unchanged.
