KRIBHCO Managing Director S.S. Yadav arrived in Muscat to participate in the OMIFCO Board Meeting, underlining the growing importance of the India-Oman partnership in the fertiliser sector. Yadav, who also serves as Chairman of OMIFCO, was warmly welcomed by the OMIFCO team, including Khalid and Harish Garg.
Yadav said his visit would provide an opportunity for meaningful discussions aimed at deepening cooperation, strengthening the partnership and advancing a shared vision of sustainable and prosperous growth.
His visit comes amid increasing collaboration between Indian cooperatives and Oman in fertiliser production and agricultural technology. OMIFCO is a major Indo-Oman joint venture producing ammonia and urea at its Sur Industrial Estate complex.
Yadav’s engagement also assumes significance as KRIBHCO and IFFCO are key Indian cooperative partners in OMIFCO. Earlier this year, discussions involving the partners also explored cooperation on IFFCO’s nano fertilisers for Oman, linking the joint venture with emerging technologies in sustainable agriculture.
The Muscat engagement is expected to further strengthen institutional ties and create new avenues for cooperation in fertilisers, technology and sustainable agricultural development.
