NABARD’s Rajasthan Regional Office celebrated its 45th Foundation Day with a grand function in Jaipur, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening rural development and supporting the vision of Viksit Rajasthan @2047.
Chief Secretary of Rajasthan V. Srinivas, IAS, who was the chief guest, lauded NABARD’s contribution to rural infrastructure development and stressed the importance of women’s empowerment and an inclusive rural financial system, particularly in the International Year of Women Farmers 2026. He expressed confidence that NABARD would continue to play a pivotal role in building a prosperous and resilient rural Rajasthan.
NABARD Deputy Managing Director Rakesh Kashyap highlighted the institution’s journey since 1982, noting its continued support to small and marginal farmers through initiatives such as the Kisan Credit Card, Farmer Clubs, Farmer Producer Organisations and the SHG-Bank Linkage Programme. He also underlined NABARD’s growing focus on climate resilience and sustainable agriculture.
The event saw the release of two publications showcasing NABARD’s achievements and rural success stories in Rajasthan. Outstanding FPOs, SHGs, PACS and artisans were honoured, while grant cheques were distributed for two JIVA projects promoting climate-resilient agriculture. Senior officials from the state government, RBI and leading banks attended the celebration.
