The National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) hosted students pursuing B.Com LL.B. at Asian Law College, Noida, for an educational study tour on October 22, 2026, offering practical insights into cooperative functioning, legal frameworks and institutional support.

Sunil Chhapola, Director (Corporate Communication and Planning and Coordination), NCDC, briefed the students on the corporation’s objectives, functions, initiatives and contribution to strengthening India’s cooperative movement.

Shweta, Young Professional in NCDC’s Legal Division, delivered a presentation on the legal framework governing cooperatives, NCDC’s legal operations and the role of legal mechanisms in supporting cooperative institutions.

The interactive session helped students understand the practical application of law in the cooperative sector, bridging classroom learning with institutional practices. The visit also highlighted the importance of legal awareness, sound cooperative governance and institutional support in building a stronger and more sustainable cooperative ecosystem.
