NCDC disbursed Rs 2.29 Lakh Cr loans in 4 years

The National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), a statutory body under the Ministry of Cooperation, has sanctioned and disbursed a total of 1,621 loans amounting to Rs 2,29,701.20 crore (approx.) over the past four financial years.

As of now, the outstanding loan amount stands at Rs 51,882.92 crore, while 28 loan accounts have turned into non-performing assets (NPAs) worth Rs 437.58 crore.

In FY 2021-22, NCDC released 269 loans worth Rs 33,939.08 crore, with major beneficiaries being Chhattisgarh (Rs 12,400 crore), Haryana (Rs 12,824.83 crore), and Telangana (Rs 9,906.57 crore).

In FY 2022-23, the corporation sanctioned 263 loans worth Rs 40,513.29 crore. Chhattisgarh once again emerged as the top state with Rs 8,500 crore, followed by Telangana (Rs 9,091.26 crore) and Andhra Pradesh (Rs 9,686.19 crore).

The trend continued in FY 2023-24, when NCDC disbursed 255 loans aggregating Rs 60,218.53 crore. The largest allocations went to Chhattisgarh (Rs 18,990 crore), Telangana (Rs 11,930.99 crore), and Andhra Pradesh (Rs 13,269.90 crore).

In the FY 2024-25, NCDC has sanctioned 535 loans worth Rs 95,030.30 crore. The biggest beneficiaries include Chhattisgarh (Rs 28,080 crore), Telangana (Rs 20,980.07 crore), Andhra Pradesh (Rs 16,330 crore), and Punjab (Rs 5,702 crore).

Interestingly, apex cooperatives like NAFED and NCCF also received assistance, Rs 97 crore and Rs 1,119.36 crore respectively.
