Nafed AGM: Sunil emerges Hero of Humour

The Vice Chairman of Nafed Dr Sunil Kumar Singh was at his best dishing out humour during the 64th AGM of agri co-op Nafed held in Delhi on Friday.

He regaled the audience while moving a vote of thanks towards the end of the AGM proceedings. “Nafed Chairman has called my wife to the stage just to keep me in check”, said Sunil referring to Bijender’s invite to his wife Vandana Singh to the dais. Vandana is a delegate who was sitting with the audience in the beginning of the proceedings.

Sunil, known for saying the most serious of stuff through his extraordinary sense of humour, also referred to the govt nominee Ashok Thakur on the occasion and recounted how Thakur has learnt the true lessons of co-operation with the passage of time.

I come from the land of Mahatma Budha and I can see that the appointment of Amit Shah is a landmark development in the history of co-operatives, said Sunil underlining that the co-ops will pervade all levels across panchayats sooner than later.

Sunil also saluted the vision of Nafed Chairman for keeping the AGM on the very birthday of the PM. While nobody knew if this was the case, Sunil’s statement made everyone smile.
