Mumbai based Model Co-operative Bank Ltd. has won the Second Prize in the Deposits category for banks with deposits between Rs 1,001 crore and Rs 5,000 crore at the Best Bank Award Competition organised by The Brihan Mumbai Nagari Sahakari Banks Association Ltd., Mumbai.
The award was presented during the Association’s 48th Annual General Meeting held on September 30, 2026, at Bunts Sangha Mumbai, Kurla. Association Chairman Gulabrao Ganpatrao Jagtap and Vice Chairman Dilip Jagannath Chavan presented the award.
The award was received on behalf of the bank by Founder Director Vincent Mathias, Director Advocate Pius Vas, Professional Director CA Paul Nazareth, Director Hilary Mendonca, General Manager & CEO Henry B. Quadros and Additional General Manager Zenon D’Cruz.
As of March 31, 2026, the bank had deposits of Rs 1,304.63 crore and advances of Rs 669.05 crore, while its Net NPA to Net Advances ratio remained nil for the third consecutive year.
The bank, which became part of the Second Schedule to the RBI Act in October 2025, also opened its 26th branch in Bandra West in August 2026.
