Mizoram Cooperation Minister P.C. Vanlalruata attended the 28th Annual General Assembly of the Mizoram State Cooperative Marketing and Consumers Federation Ltd. (MIZOFED) held at Dawrpui Multipurpose Centre in Aizawl on Tuesday, where the federation reported a provisional net profit of Rs 9.77 crore for 2025-26.
The minister described the profit achievement as a reflection of MIZOFED’s steady progress and appreciated its contribution to strengthening the cooperative sector in the state. He said the government remains committed to supporting cooperative societies and expects stronger collaboration between cooperatives and government flagship programmes for overall development.
Registrar of Cooperative Societies John L.T. Sanga also stressed the need to strengthen cooperative institutions in Mizoram by learning from successful models in other states. He encouraged MIZOFED to continue expanding its activities and improving output for the benefit of the people of Mizoram.
MIZOFED’s major business sectors include Petroleum Oil Lubricants (POL), LPG distribution, and essential commodities and consumer goods. The meeting was chaired by MIZOFED Chairman K. Rothangpuia, while Managing Director Lalhruaitluanga presented the annual report for 2025-26.
