Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) has secured membership in the Germany-based International Raiffeisen Union, marking a significant step towards strengthening India’s presence on the global cooperative platform.
Sharing the development on social media, IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani said the membership would further amplify the voice of Indian farmers and cooperatives at the international level. He described the move as an important milestone in expanding global cooperation and fostering stronger international partnerships.
According to Sanghani, the association with IRU is expected to create new opportunities in areas such as cooperative development, innovation and global collaboration. IRU Director General Andreas Kappes, along with IFFCO’s Tarun Bhargav and other distinguished guests, were present during the occasion.
The development highlights IFFCO’s growing international engagement and its focus on promoting India’s cooperative model globally.
