In a move aimed at enhancing value addition in agriculture and improving farmers’ incomes, Gujarat State Cooperative Marketing Federation Ltd. (GUJCOMASOL) has decided to venture into peanut butter production.
The announcement was made by IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani, who shared details of the decision after visiting the Cropel International Pvt. Ltd. plant at Ranasan in Gujarat’s Sabarkantha district along with the GUJCOMASOL Board of Directors. A meeting of the federation’s Board was also held during the visit.
According to Sanghani, the Board deliberated on several issues relating to farmers’ welfare, value addition to agricultural produce and strengthening the cooperative sector.
Sanghani said the initiative reflects GUJCOMASOL’s commitment to the vision of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi”, with a continued focus on farmer welfare, innovation and strengthening the cooperative marketing ecosystem through new business opportunities.
