Congress party has objected to BJP MLA from Shehra Jetha Bharwad unduly influencing milk producers with higher price of milk to get their votes, reports DNA.
While addressing farmers in a public meeting, the BJP legislator had said ”there is a price hike, so cast your vote accordingly”.
The opposition Congress says this could be a violation of Model Code of Conduct for general elections.
The BJP MLA is vice-president of the Amul brand owning GCMMF as well as Panchamrut dairy cooperative in Panchmahal district of Gujarat.
