The Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS), Delhi, has approved an amendment to the bye-laws of the DLD Cooperative Thrift & Credit Society Ltd., increasing the maximum loan limit for its members from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh.
The approval was conveyed through an official communication dated 2 November 2026, issued by the Office of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
According to the approved amendment to Bye-Law No. 34, the Society’s Managing Committee can now grant loans of up to Rs 5 lakh to members, against the earlier ceiling of Rs 3 lakh.
However, the revised limit remains subject to the condition that the loan cannot exceed ten times the borrower’s Basic Pay or ten times the value of paid-up shares, whichever is lower. The Committee will also be required to obtain security in each case.
The amendment was approved following the Society’s application dated 22 October 2026, with the approval of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Delhi.
