Darbhanga (Bihar) Member of Parliament Gopal Jee Thakur held a meeting at his parliamentary office with PACS chairpersons from various panchayats under the Darbhanga parliamentary constituency to discuss paddy procurement, farmers’ concerns, and issues related to the cooperative sector.
During the interaction, the MP reviewed challenges faced by farmers in the ongoing procurement process and sought feedback from PACS representatives on operational difficulties at the grassroots level.
Discussions also focused on strengthening the cooperative framework and improving coordination between farmers and cooperative societies.
Thakur assured the delegation that all necessary steps would be taken to safeguard farmers’ interests and further strengthen the cooperative system in the region.
He reiterated the crucial role of PACS in supporting rural agriculture and ensuring timely procurement and payment to farmers.
