Maharashtra-based Cosmos Co-operative Bank Ltd. will organise a condolence and prayer meeting to pay tribute to its former Chairman, Dr. Mukund Laxman Abhyankar, who passed away on April 16, 2026.
A highly respected figure in India’s cooperative movement, Dr. Abhyankar was widely regarded as a doyen of the sector. His visionary leadership, steadfast commitment, and significant contributions helped strengthen the cooperative banking ecosystem, earning him deep respect across the fraternity.
To honour his legacy and pray for the eternal peace of his soul, the bank has scheduled the prayer meeting on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. The event will be held at Sahakar Sabhagruha, 2nd Floor, Cosmos Tower, Ganeshkhind Road, ICS Colony, Pune.
