Chhattisgarh releases Rs 13.80Cr for Sugarcane Farmers

In a major relief to sugarcane farmers, the Chhattisgarh government has released Rs 13.80 crore, following special efforts by Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma.

The move is expected to ease financial stress among farmers and reinforce confidence in the cooperative sugar sector.

Meanwhile, the Bhoramdev Cooperative Sugar Factory has emerged as a strong example of the cooperative model’s effectiveness. During the ongoing crushing season, the factory has already disbursed Rs 71.29 crore to sugarcane farmers.

These consistent payments have strengthened farmer trust and highlighted the viability of cooperative-led agro-industrial operations.
