The Bihar State Cooperative Bank Ltd held its 77th Annual General Meeting on Monday, with Bihar Cooperation Minister Ram Kripal Yadav inaugurating the meeting in the presence of senior officials and cooperative leaders.
The bank’s business mix rose to Rs 8,848.19 crore at the end of 2025-26, comprising deposits of Rs 2,514 crore and loan outstanding of Rs 6,334.19 crore. The business mix had stood at around Rs 7,507.64 crore a year earlier, registering growth of about 17.9%.
Deposits increased from Rs 2,297.40 crore in 2024-25, while loan outstanding rose from Rs 5,278.25 crore. Investment also climbed substantially to Rs 4,490.30 crore from Rs 3,412.04 crore.
However, asset quality emerged as a key concern. Gross NPA more than doubled to Rs 365.63 crore from Rs 143.75 crore, taking the gross NPA ratio to 5.77% from 2.72%. Net NPA rose to Rs 261.05 crore, or 4.12%.
The bank remained profitable, but net profit declined to Rs 21.93 crore in 2025-26 from Rs 78.18 crore in the previous year.
The AGM was attended by Cooperation Department Secretary Dharmendra Singh, Additional Registrar (Credit) Manoj Kumar Singh, Chairman Ramesh Chandra Chaubey, Managing Director Arvind Kumar Paswan, BISCOMAUN Chairman Vishal Singh and other directors and representatives.
