A mid-career training programme for Assistant Registrars of Cooperative Societies and Audit Officers of the Government of Bihar has been organised by Indian Institute of Public Administration in association with Bihar Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development.

The programme aims to strengthen participants’ understanding of the Bihar Cooperative Societies Act, related rules, and recent amendments governing the cooperative sector.

Officials attending the programme will receive training on financial oversight mechanisms, auditing practices, and governance standards essential for effective functioning of cooperative institutions.

The initiative also seeks to familiarise officers with emerging challenges, policy changes, and innovations in the cooperative sector. Sessions during the programme are expected to focus on transparency, accountability, compliance, and modern management practices in cooperative administration.

Around 13 officers from different parts of Bihar are participating in the programme. Organisers said the training is designed to enhance institutional capacity and equip officers with practical knowledge required for better regulation and supervision of cooperative societies in the state.
